Laxman Award / Rani Laxmi Bai Award

A special scheme has been implemented by government of Uttar Pradesh for Honouring the eminent players of the state by Rani Laxmi Bai/ Laxman Award. Under this scheme, sports players that are Honoured with this award are given a citation, bronze statue of Rani Laxmi Bai/ Laxman and a cash prize of Rs. 3,11,000. To be eligible for the award, a sport player should be the native of Uttar Pradesh. He/ she should be the part of State team for at least 3 years. He/ she must have taken part in National Competition. He/ she must be an excellent player. And finally, he/ she must have taken part in any international event while being a part of the national team.

She won Silver Medal in 53rd Senior National Inter State Athletics Championship 2013 Discus Throw, won Gold Medal in 17th Asian Games 2014, Incheon, Korea while representing Indian team, won Silver Medal in 20th Commonwealth Games-2014 in Glasgow, Scotland while representing Indian team and last but not the least he also participated in Olympic Games of Rio de Janerio, Brazil organized in year 2016.

In 2013 she was the top scorer in Junior World Cup organized in Germany and took India to 3rd position. She also participated in 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. She again become a top scorer by hitting 11 goals in 2014-15 World Hockey League and made India win. Ms. Priyanka Singh Wrestling 2015-16 Ms. Priyanka Singh was born on 17th August, 1989 in Meerut district. She is a veteran player of Wrestling. She has brought laurels to both state and nation by winning various medals at various competitions in athletics which includes a gold medal in 49th Senior National Inter-state Athletics Championship 2009, Chennai, silver medal 50th Senior National Inter-State Athletics Championship 2010, Patiala, silver medal in 18th Asian Athletics Championship Guangzhou 2009, gold medal along with new record in 16th Asian Games, Guangzhou in 2010, participation in 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi and participation in 2015 World Athletics Championship.
Ms. Razia Zaidi Hockey (Veteran) 2010-2011 Ms. Razia Zaidi was born on 15 May, 1962 in Bijnor. She has been an excellent hockey player. With her achievements in hockey at various national and international level competitions, she has brought laurels to both state and nation. Mr. Danish Mujtaba Hockey 2016-17 Resident of district Allahabad and Residential Hockey Boys Hostel, Lucknow, Mr. Danish Mujtaba represented Indian Hockey team in Rio Olympic-2016. In 2009 Mr. Majtuba first represented the team India. He also participated in 2012 London Olympics Games. He won Gold Medal in Olympic Games while representing Indian team in 1980 in Moscow, won Silver Medal in Asian Games-1982 in New Delhi while representing Indian Hockey Team, won Bronze Medal while representing team India in World Cup 1982 in Mumbai, Olympic Games 1984 in America and in Asian Games 1986 as a captain. Mr. M.P Singh Hockey (Veteran) 2012-2013 Mr. M.P Singh is a veteran Hockey Player of the state. He was born on 16 October, 1962 in Meerut. He has brought laurels to both state and nation by winning various medals at various competitions like he was part of Uttar Pradesh team in the Senior National Championship for three consecutive years between 1979 to 1982, participated in 1985 National games in New Delhi, participated in the International Championship in 1985 in Perth, won the gold medal in Sultan Azlan Shah hockey, Malaysia in 1985, bronze medal in the Seoul Asian Games, 1986, participation in Seoul Olympics in 1988, and participation in 1989 Champions trophy in Barcelona.   
Mr. Panne Lal Wrestling (Veteran) 2012-2013 Mr. Panne Lal Yadav is a veteran wrestler of the state. He was born on 01 January, 1953 in Gorakhpur. He has brought laurels to both state and nation by winning various medals at various competitions like participation in the Senior National wrestling Championship, 1973 in Mumbai, won a silver medal in Senior National Wrestling Championship, 1975 in Pune, participated in 11th Commonwealth Games, Edmonton (Canada) in 1978, participation in camp organized in Moscow for Asian Games, 1982 and won a silver medal in Greco Roman Championship, 1984 in Damas(Syria).
Mr. Atul Shree Patel Soft Tennis 2013-2014 Mr. Atul Shree Patel is a renowned Soft Tennis player of the state. He was born on 01 March, 1995 in Allahabad district. He has brought laurels to both state and nation by winning various medals at various competitions like silver medal in 9th Senior National Soft tennis Championship, Ludhiana in 2011, participation in 16th Asian Games, 2010 in Gwangju, silver medal in 10th Senior National Soft tennis Championship, Haryana in 2012 and gold medal in 11th Senior National Soft tennis Championship, Ahmedabad in 2013.
Mr. Tushar Khandkar Hockey 2013-2014 Mr. Tushar Khandkar is a renowned Hockey player of the state. He was born on 05 April, 1985 in Jhansi district. He has brought laurels to both state and nation by winning various medals at various competitions like participation in the Senior National Hockey Championship in 2012, participation in the Senior National Hockey Championship in 2013, bronze medal in the Senior National Hockey Championship in 2014, silver medal in 19th Commonwealth Games in 2010, participation in World Cup 2010 and participation in Olympic Games, London in 2012.

He was born on 22 July, 1983 in Varanasi district.  He has brought laurels to both state and nation by winning various medals at various competitions like silver medal in the 55th National Shooting Championship, Kadarpur in 2012, gold medal in the 56th National Shooting Championship, Hyderabad in 2013 and gold medal in the 57th National Shooting Championship, Kadarpur in 2014.

He has brought laurels to both state and nation by winning various medals at various competitions like silver medal in the Asian Games, Beijing in 1990, participated in Olympic games, Barcelona in 1992, Indian team captain in the Asia Cup, Hiroshima in 1994, participated in the 1194 Champions Trophy in Germany and participation in 1995 and 1996 Champions Trophy in Chennai.
